Meet Master Frank Huang

Dean of Student Affairs at the Central Police University

        Frank Huang (Huang Fu Yuan) became a student of Chang Tung Sheng while he was an undergraduate student at the Central Police University. As a senior, he took 1st place in the shuai chiao division of the 1977 Taiwan Athletic Meet by using the tsan tuei (tangling leg) technique made famous by Chang Tung Sheng. After graduating, he became the Assistant Shuai Chiao instructor to Master Chu Yuh-Lung and served as the confidential secretary for the president of the University. He entered graduate school at the Central Police University and, after obtaining his Master's Degree, became an Associate Professor. Three years later he was awarded a scholarship from the Taiwan Central Government Ministry of Domestic Affairs and attended Sam Houston State University in Texas, where he graduated first in his class with a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice.

        Upon his return to Taiwan Master Huang became a full professor and assumed the position of Chairman of the Department of Crime Prevention and Corrections. Thereafter, he moved into his current position as Dean of Student Affairs - one of the top positions in the school. The Shuai Chiao program at the Central Police University is only a part of his dizzying array of responsibilities. In addition to his direct duties at the school, he finds time to head up crime prevention programs throughout Taiwan and also acts as a consultant to develop crime prevention policies for major national political figures. As a leading authority on crime prevention - especially in the field of criminal psychology - Master Huang is often sought out by the media for interviews and information.
